NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. achieves milestones in Gujarat solar projects

New Delhi: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has successfully commissioned additional capacities under two of its major solar projects in Gujarat, marking another significant step in India’s renewable energy expansion.

Effective from 00:00 hrs on June 30, 2025, a 32.8 MW capacity (Second Part) of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project at Khavda, Bhuj, under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche-V initiative, has been declared commercially operational.

The project’s First Part capacity of 142.2 MW had already been operational since June 28, 2025.

In a parallel development, a 64.7 MW capacity (Third Part) of the 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III, has also been declared commercially operational from 00:00 hrs on June 30, 2025.

The First and Second Part capacities of 110.25 MW and 146.7 MW, respectively, were earlier commissioned on June 6 and June 28, 2025.

These achievements further reinforce NTPC REL’s commitment to powering India’s clean energy future through large-scale renewable projects.
