Space Matrix commits net zero emission reduction goals by 2050 through SBTi

New Delhi: Space Matrix, a leading multinational workplace design on Tuesday announced the validation of its climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

“This marks a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability and corporate decarbonization,” company said in a statement.

The Science Based Targets initiative, a collaboration between CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), validates corporate climate targets.

The idea is to ensure they are in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the goal of limiting global warming to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.

“Space Matrix has committed to significant reductions in company-wide emissions as part of the SBTi’s global initiative for ambitious corporate decarbonization.
