Enviro Infra Engineers Limited secures 69 MW Solar projects

Mumbai: Enviro Infra Engineers Limited, a leading EPC player specialising in water and wastewater treatment projects across India, has announced a major expansion into the renewable energy sector.

The company has secured two significant solar power projects with a combined capacity of 69 MW (AC), marking its official entry into clean energy and sustainability-driven infrastructure development.

Enviro Infra has been awarded the acquisition of Vento Power Infra Private Limited, which is developing a 40 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power plant in Bolangir District, Odisha.

The acquisition comes via a competitive bidding process managed by PTC India Financial Services Limited, with the company receiving a Letter of Intent (LOI).

The power generated from the project will be sold at a tariff of Rs 4.10 per unit under a long-term power purchase agreement for approximately 18 years. The acquisition is valued at Rs 115.61 crore. Notably, the project has already achieved Partial Commercial Operation Date (PCOD), indicating progress toward full-scale operations.

This project is structured on a design, build, finance, operate, and maintain (DBFOM) model, and benefits from a generous State Financial Assistance (SFA) of Rs 3.20 crore per MW—totaling Rs 92.80 crore.

The tariff for this project is set at Rs 0.88 per unit for a 25-year period, offering stable, long-term revenue streams. Mr. Sanjay Jain, Chairman & Whole-Time Director of Enviro Infra Engineers, commented on the strategic move.

“With these projects, the Company has officially entered the renewable energy sector, aligning with its long-term vision for sustainable, clean, and future-ready growth.

“The Company remains focused on delivering high-quality, timely, and sustainable energy solutions while upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence and governance”, he added.

These acquisitions signal Enviro Infra Engineers’ commitment to diversifying into green infrastructure while leveraging its robust EPC expertise. The company aims to play a pivotal role in India’s clean energy transition and sustainable development agenda.
