New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD ) and Nigerian Meteorological Agency for Scientific and Technical Research to work together to provide WMO standard services in the field of Numerical Weather Prediction Capability.
The MoU was signed in the WMO Headquarters at Geneva for collaboration between the two agencies for the mutual benefit of cooperation in the conduct of Scientific & Technical Research and the development of practical skills that benefit the International Community.
The IMD & NiMet will work together to provide WMO standard services in the field of Numerical Weather Prediction Capability, Meteorological Sensor Designing, Satellite Meteorology, Scientific research on meteorology and its applications in various sectors, Nowcasting, Early warning capabilities and Capacity building activities.
